Our first open mic at Caravan that has gone from being a physical space at THE GREGORY HOTEL where we would have over 200+ content creators visit us a month for different events sometimes upward to 500 guests a month has now found ourselves pivoting to be able to bring community together online.
We now have created a #virtualclub or #virtualsocialclub with live entertainment nights once a week to start.
With a background in entertainment, fashion show production and nightlife it is a goal to use that experience and create an interesting space online during the time we are staying at home.
We are providing entertainment to our community.
An opportunity to learn about new artists during our mic programs.
Opportunity to support organizations and small businesses.
Hopefully everyone leaves a bit inspired with a smile.
In a few days we organized over a dozen open mic talent participants and over 75 viewers throughout the event. Below photos are bios of all the amazing participants from musicians to comedians.
We raised money for a great organization and helped with our motto :
TALENT HELPING TALENT.
We want to make these bigger – we would love to support the artists more- we would love to raise money for other organizations & small businesses and we are looking to get creative with how to bring our experiential marketing backgrounds virtually to incorporate some of the ideas we have but online during our open mic sessions.

Hollye from RAZORBIRDS “With emotion-soaked songs written from a distinctly feminine perspective on heartbreak and finding strength in the aftermath, toxic friendships, the complexity of loneliness, little moments of joy ala great sex and cannabis clouds, and confronting the patriarchy, Razor Braids’ sound is as eclectic as the group of women comprising the band. Razor Braids draw influence from a variety of genres, decades, and the power they admire in one another. Their music is injected with elements of punk, 90’s grunge, and deep, dark, and heavy singer-songwriter stylings with an alternative ethos. Dripping with electric energy, Razor Braids’ songs roll around in your head, ignite your body, and jolt your heart. It’s rock, baby. Razor Braids released their debut single ‘Nashville’, recorded by Emmy award winning Sound Engineer Mark Leombruni and Jeremy Given, on March 31. RB made a name for themselves in 2019 by playing over 30 shows at venues such as Rough Trade, Brooklyn Bowl, Mercury Lounge, Home Sweet Home and more as well as played their first music festival, Punk Island on Randall’s Island. Razor Braids is lead vocalist, bass-wielding, on-her-back-floor-dancing, Hollye Bynum, Janie Peacock ripping and riffing on lead guitar as well as illustrating and designing all of Razor Braids’ visual content, rhythm guitar and the sweetest backing vocals you’ll ever hear carried by Jilly Karande, and her majesty, the ultimate badass, Hannah Nichols who took her seat at the drum throne.”
