seattle 3Let’s talk about one of my favorite things — ICE CREAM.

If you know me I am an ice cream manatic some might call me an ice cream cone-isseur.

So when I was in Seattle recently for a biz trip when I was done it was late and I said I need to go to the best ice cream place in Seattle and found myself at SHUG’s. This place is adorable and the ice cream they have there is so good.  The ice cream flavors are great from Lopez Island Creamery – but it also about the creativity behind them meaning – I had myself first ice cream prosecco float and it was so decadently amazing.  What an experience – they suggest having it with peach sorbet but I had it with lemon and some prosecco and it was perfect !

I loved this vintage vibe – it is the perfect place for a photo shoot. I took a ton of photos. I loved the vibe of this place. The staff was so kind and the music was great.

In the heart of historic Pike Place Market, Shug’s Soda Fountain & Ice Cream takes a classic idea and brings it to Seattle with a modern flare.

Featuring house-made syrups, sauces and toppings, Lopez Island Creamery small-batch and independent Ice Cream, Organic Coffee, Beer, Wine & Ice Cream Cocktails–Shug’s has something for everyone.

BACK IN NYC and went to the awesome WHOLE FOODS in WILLIAMSBURG….

Speaking of Ice Cream I picked up some at WHOLE FOODS because I had some coupons for it but holy moly I am hooked  thank you Graeter’s Ice Cream for making some awesome ice cream ! This company has been around for 145 years – check out their history here :

Check out how they make the ice cream here :

Graeter’s Ice Cream contains only the finest, high quality ingredients. No fake syrups or sweeteners. No fake colorings. If it’s not real, it’s not a Graeter’s ingredient. What’s more, Graeter’s Ice Cream contains no hydrogenated oils, thus no trans fats.

Sourced from local cows free of artificial growth hormones, Graeter’s is the crème de la crème of cream. Made from fresh, local eggs. All sweetened with 100% pure cane sugar. They take Peter’s® Chocolate, melt it, pour it into French pots along with their ice cream, and then, using a paddle, chop it into notoriously delicious chip-chunks.

For our ice cream, nothing less than the finest vanilla beans will suffice. Hence why ours hail from the island of Madagascar.

We make our indulgent Black Cherry Chocolate Chip flavor by pairing sweet dark cherries from the Pacific Northwest with our gourmet bittersweet chocolate chips.

Let’s talk about their season MINT COOKIE

Graeters 2

Creamy mint flavored ice cream laced with lots of large Oreo brand cookie chunks.

More about the type of ice cream :  French Pot Ice Cream
Graeter’s Ice Cream is made the same way Louis and Regina Graeter made it in 1870. By hand. In 2½-gallon French pots. One batch at a time. With high quality ingredients. Like luscious, gourmet chocolate chips. No other ice cream is made this way. No other ice cream tastes this way. This thick. This rich. This irresistibly good.

I will talk about ice cream a lot on my blog but now when asked I will say the following :
Graeter’s and why – you have to try their French Pot ice cream – you taste the difference !
